TubeFlash Terms & Conditions

  • All work remains the copyright of the author.
  • Stories must be the original work of the author.
  • No fees are paid to authors for work; all stories are provided free.
  • Authors submitting to TubeFlash must be 18 or over.
  • TubeFlash stories must be in English.  Foreign language quotations, for example, “c’est la vie”, maybe included in the text as the story demands.  Where these are not well known then a translation should be included in brackets.
  • The decision as to which Flash Fiction stories are chosen for the TubeFlash project will be made by the TubeFlash editors and their decision is final.
  • No correspondence will be entered into with the editors on their decision.
  • Stories must be no more than 300 words and inspired by either the tube station/station area or the associated brooch. Stories must not contain excessive swearing, sex or violence. Please check out TubeFlash stories already published and the guidance on the Resources section before submitting. Thank you.
  • Entry/submission does not guarantee acceptance as part of the TubeFlash project.
  • TubeFlash reserves the right to make any necessary editorial amendments to a piece of work before it is published. This may include grammar, punctuation, spelling etc. If the author is not happy with these amendments they may withdraw their work from publication.
  • By submitting to the TubeFlash project you agree to allow your work to be published online and produced as an audio Storycast podcast on iTunes. And if the opportunity arises to publish in book form, No fees/commissionwill be paid but writers may receive a free copy of the book.
  • By submitting to the TubeFlash project you agree to allow your email address be added to the mailing list of TubeFlash.  You are at liberty to unsubscribe from the mailing lists at any time.
